Salon Sundays

Camille-Léopold Cabaillot-Lassalle, 'Le Salon', 1874  (What a great name!)

Salon Sundays are lively small-group conversations about three works of art that share a connection—sometimes obvious, sometimes not. Together we explore what artists put into their work, what we bring to it as viewers, and how the exchange between the two shapes our experience of art.

Think of it as the difference between skimming a book and reading a chapter slowly with friends who have strong opinions. With a small group and a few carefully chosen works, we take the time to look closely, ask better questions, and discover how much more there is to see.

Bringing a friend, partner, or family member makes the experience especially fun. People often hear someone they know express an opinion about a painting that they’ve never heard before. You end up learning as much about each other as you do about the artist and the work itself.

And that alone is worth the price of admission.
